Kutlu Elpek



Kutlu received his Ph.D. degree in Immunology and Microbiology in 2007 from University of Louisville, KY. While in school he worked on costimulation-based immunotherapy. His main scientific interest is the influence of tumor environment on the immune system. He joined the Turley Lab in July 2007 as a post-doctoral research fellow and he is currently working on characterization of antigen presenting cells and T cells in various tumor models. Originally from Turkey, Kutlu enjoys experimenting in the kitchen and going to new restaurants with his wife Natalie. When not eating he likes reading, watching movies, listening to music, hiking, traveling, playing computer games and solving puzzles.
