Collaborative
environment
We are availing ourselves of the collegial
environment on the Dana
14th floor. Five laboratories are sharing common
equipment, reagents and plastic disposables. We share a centralized
common chemical stock room, a plastic disposable stock room, autoclave/washing
room, cold rooms, warm room and –20°C
room with neighboring laboratories. We have weekly meeting/seminar
and biweekly happy hour with our neighboring laboratories to exchange
research ideas and facilitate our collaborative environment.
Our neighboring labs are:
Martin
Hemler, Ph.D.
Kai Wucherpfennig, M.D., Ph.D.
Shannon Turley, Ph.D.
Carl
Novina, M.D., Ph.D.
Research
resources
In
addition to shared equipment on the floor, our laboratory has
access to the shared equipment at the Department of Cancer Immunology & AIDS. Dana-Farber
Cancer Institute has numerous state-of-the-art core facilities which
satisfy most of our researchers' needs. Furthermore, as a member
laboratory of DFCI/Harvard
Cancer Center, we have access to the impressive
core
facilities of DF/HCC, an interactive, multidisciplinary, multi-institutional
cancer research center generated by funding from the National Cancer
Institute. DF/HCC consists of seven Harvard-affiliated institutions,
namely Harvard Medical
School, Massachusetts
General Hospital, Brigham & Women’s
Hospital, Beth-Israel-Deaconess
Medical Center, Children’s
Hospital,
the Harvard School
of Public Health and the Dana-Farber
Cancer Institute and offers an excellent research environment
for cancer and cancer-related research. Where
